Sr RF / MW Switch Engineer ( Remote )

Job Purpose:
• To own & directly impact the reintroduction of the IFA line in SBY by competing, winning and developing NPI IFA solutions.
• Manage projects from inception through qualification in accordance with the phase gate processes.
Responsibilities:
• To develop optimal RF switch solutions for integrated filter assemblies using EDA tools such as but not limited to Keysight Genesys, & Cadence AWR
• To develop digital logic solutions for the integrated filter assemblies using schematic capture technology and tools such as, but not limited to Altium, PADS, & OrCad.
• Translate customer specifications into design, manufacturing, and testing requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, and presentations as required to support customers, sales representatives and lead design reviews
• Interface with suppliers to evaluate component specification and new materials
• Coordinate with on-site manufacturing and quality engineers to facilitate initial build and prototyping of products
• Ability to perform root cause analyses utilizing established problem solving tools and methodologies
• Proactively identify project risks and mitigation plans to accelerate the development cycle and ensure delivery commitments are met
• Provide technical support to organizational stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing and Sales
• Use Electrical, RF and thermal test equipment in support of design validation such as but not limited to PNAs, Signal generators, Spectrum analyzers

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have a mature understanding of RF& Microwave Theories.
  • Proficiency in 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation and linear circuit analysis
  • Proficiency in key RF test equipment such as network analyzers
  • Proficiency with CAD including 3D solid modeling. AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred
  • Familiarity with military and industry standards and other relevant specification
  • Ability to analyze complex problems using data-driven approach and define solutions
  • Knowledge of thin and/or thick film process technology a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100

 

Travel %: Up to 30%
