THE POSITION:
We are actively recruiting for a Senior Manager to oversee the company’s Advanced Technology Group (ATG). ATG is the primary center of client research and development efforts, and is the innovation engine of the company. The main objective for this position is to be technical leader who can identify, manage, and support technology development opportunities and solve challenges for emerging products .. This role also requires managing an internal team of highly- talented engineers. Successful candidates will understand the technical and market landscapes for clients technology and how they fit within the company’s development roadmap. This position will include opportunities for customer engagement and supporting ATG revenue growth.
This position will report to the company’s Vice President of Engineering. Successful candidates will be strongly analytical, proactive/problem-solvers, and possess excellent management and interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities for this position are:
• Manage and support technology development for emerging product and market opportunities. ATG takes technical concepts and visions from basic science to viable product technologies for use within the harshest environments across the aerospace and defense landscape. This will be done collaboratively with the company’s VP of Engineering, ATG staff engineers, other senior engineers within the Engineering Department, and with inputs from sales and business development resources. Successful candidates track technology development trends and are aware of relevant/adjacent SOTA technology.
• Lead and manage the ATG team of engineers. Successful candidates will have a strong technical background and be able to lead the ATG team by example. This team ranges from junior to experienced engineers and up to PhD fellows. This includes all aspects of personnel and team management - aligning efforts to meet company’s technical roadmap, goal setting, overseeing project management, and career development. The ATG team is currently six engineers and is expected to grow.
Compensation: The compensation for this position is competitive and will range according to candidates’ skills, qualifications, level of experience and other market factors. Compensation will include a base salary, performance bonus and stock options plan. It will also include access to the company’s top-tier

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Ph.D. or Masters degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on RF engineering
• Strong technical leadership abilities. Experience managing and working with teams of engineers.
• Track record of success in developing new technology concepts, proposal wins, interfacing with customers, and pursuing new technology opportunities.
• Proficiency in the following areas: RF circuit/component design, systems engineering, prototyping and assembly of hardware, linear and non-linear RF/microwave testing, and researching ferromagnetic phenomena in materials.
