BUSINESS DEVLOPMENT EXECUTIVE

FUNCTION
Reporting to the Company’s CEO, this individual will assume overall responsibility for all business development, marketing and applications engineering operations for this Company, focusing on fast and sustained growth. The Company has completed four acquisitions in the RF systems and microwave component space since 2019. The Company performs R&D, design, manufacturing, and marketing of radio frequency (RF) and Microwave (MW) components, sub- assemblies and systems for advanced radar, signals intelligence (SIGINT) and communications equipment primarily for military and government customers. The Company has a strong bench of technical talent, a broad product offering and operations primarily in the domestic market.
The selected candidate will be responsible for expanding the awareness and breadth of the Company’s systems level technology encompassing:
• in-theatre command post communications
• under water exfiltration technology
• low probability of detect/low probability of intercept systems
• radar based gunshot detection capabilities
• RF over Fiber technology
for the major service branches, special operations, the intelligence community and prime contractors. This individual will be responsible for defining market strategies, assessing opportunities and developing a rolling forecast of projected revenue. The candidate will act as the “voice of the customer” and have considerable interface with engineering in the specification, design, and implementation of the firm's present and future technology advancements.
QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant business development experience in the RF/MW systems/sub systems space within the DOD, intelligence, defense and aerospace communities for both custom engineered solutions and standard products. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned defense industry professional with broad contacts and developing relationships with defense contractors and government agencies. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to work with technical professionals to address customer specific applications in addition to promoting the Company’s technical design and manufacturing capabilities. He/she will have been previously involved in the growth of a smaller company and will have a demonstrable record of solving customer problems through the application of technology and innovative engineering. The selected candidate should hold a current Security clearance, preferably at Top Secret level.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
EDUCATION
A Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, is necessary. A Master's Degree in Engineering/Business Administration is highly preferred.
