JOB TITLE:  GENERAL MANAGER

SCOPE: 

Perform functions to provide leadership to position the company at the forefront of the industry.  Develop a strategic plan to advance the company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organization. Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources, formulating and carrying out organizational policies, objectives and programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.         Develop a strategic plan to advance the company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization. Establish operating strategies and policies and define long and short term goals for the growth and operation of the organization.

2.         Establish specific performance objectives, monitor efforts and provide technical guidance and direction to the operation of all departments through subordinate management staff, including all aspects of marketing, sales, finance, operations, engineering, production, quality, safety, human resources and other subordinate functions.

3.         Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources.  Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company.

4.         Direct company planning and policy-making committees to establish operating policy and related reporting procedures for all functional areas.

5.         Identify acquisition and merger opportunities and direct implementation activities.

6.         Approve company operational procedures, policies, and standards.

7.         Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.

8.         Evaluate performance of executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.

9.         Promote the company to local, regional, national, and international constituencies through written articles and personal appearances at conferences and on radio and television.  Represent the company at legislative sessions, committee meetings, and at formal functions.

10.       Present company at Annual Stockholder and Board of Director meetings.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS from a fully accredited institution, preferably in engineering; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience at a combination of large and smaller companies; prior experience in a private equity owned technology supplier is ideal.
  • Experience working in an electronics (semiconductor) manufacturing facility, preferred.
  • Experience with RF & Microwave products, more specifically highly-engineered, leaded and leadless, GaN/GaAs RF and microwave switches, attenuators, amplifiers, multi-chip and functional modules in both standard and custom form; with primary focus on manufacturing products that are used for a multitude of applications in the space, aerospace and strategic defense end markets. Products are designed to meet MIL-PRF standards and KCB’s U.S. based operating facility maintains AS9100 quality certification.
  • Experience within the military/aerospace and/or space industry required.
  • Hands-on executive with a proven track-record of successfully managing and growing a divisional P&L
  • Numerate and data-driven, with superior analytical capabilities
  • Operationally focused, with the presence and communications skills to host and close on prospect customers
  • Bias towards “service” yet opportunistic with respect to product solutions; single-minded in honoring a customer commitment
  • Entrepreneurial with intellectual curiosity… a strategic thinker with an established personal network to identify and capitalize on evolving industry trends in Silicon Valley
  • Unquestionable integrity
  • Due to export control rules, must be a US citizen.
  • Familiarity with the high-reliability microelectronic component qualification and characterization for extreme applications: deep space, LEO, mil-aero, nuclear….with competency in complex data presentation
