Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Contract Management Specialist to provide expert contract review and negotiation services for both commercial and government contracts, specifically focusing on defense contracts from prime and tier 2 contractors. This will also include subcontract agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and negotiate commercial and government contracts, with a focus on defense contracts.
• Analyze and interpret contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including FAR and DFARS.
• Provide expert advice on contract management and negotiation strategies and negotiating contracts, as necessary.
• Draft, review, and revise subcontractor agreements to ensure they protect the company's interests.
• Redline contracts to indicate proposed changes, edits, or comments.
• Ensure all contracts comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand contract requirements and objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of contract negotiations and agreements.
• Provide general counsel services as needed as they relate to contract law
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in contract management and negotiation, particularly in the commercial and government sectors.
• Proven expertise in defense contracts and subcontractor agreements.
• Strong understanding of FAR and DFARS requirements.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Membership in relevant professional associations
• U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Experience:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Background in financial management, export compliance, contract pricing, and procurement management
• Previous roles as General Counsel and Contract Manager
