Job description
he Senior Materials Scientist/Engineer applies extensive knowledge of materials science, thin film growth process development, characterization and optimization to develop advanced RF and microwave devices and subsystems for modern wireless communications and sensing systems. The Senior Materials Scientist/Engineer leads complex projects, supervises staff and assigns tasks to ensure successful completion of project tasks and objectives. The Senior Materials Scientist/Engineer is expected to innovate and extend existing methodologies beyond those widely known and practiced. The successful candidate for this position should have experience with magnetic materials and understanding of their properties. Experience and knowledge in crystal growth technology is a strong plus. The Senior Materials Scientist/Engineer collaborates effectively in a highly interdisciplinary team and represents the organization in communications with customers and at conferences and other professional forums.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s or PhD degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with thin film growth equipment (Czochralski and/or Liquid Phase Epitaxy processes a strong plus)
- Experience with characterizing and optimizing structural, electronic or magnetic properties of materials
- Experience with a wide variety of materials characterization tools and methods
- Excellent presentation and technical writing skills
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
