Job Purpose:
Manage assigned product lines and Product Line Managers for other product lines to achieve company goals and targets. Elaborate strategy, business / marketing plan and products roadmap for current and potential new markets addressed by Connectors business unit (BU) which grow sales and market share, maximize gross profit and trading profit and grow the BU at a market leading rate; obtain competitive information from external consultants / surveys and conduct in-depth economical and technical benchmarks resulting in a good understanding of competitive landscape ; based on future market requirements, have the right technology and products developed by engineering ; in close collaboration with sales teams and Marketing Communication, participates to the elaboration of all go to market strategies and materials ; develop pricing strategies that maximize profit, revenue and market share; delivers customer satisfaction while providing long-term value for the company.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for A&D Product Line P&L and delivering gross and operating margin targets.
• Supervise other Connectors Product Line Managers by providing executive level guidance and coaching.
• Utilize pricing power framework to establish reference prices and volume pricing.
• Sales collateral including web content.
• Release and disseminate collateral..
• Responsible for developing strategy and marketing plans.
• Conduct market, customer, competitor and user research; analyze potential partner relationships, if any, for the product line..
• Ensure profit and loss for product lines.
• Work with RD&T to define product release requirements and roadmap.
• Analyze sales for the product lines on a regular basis to assess their financial performance.
• Work with Marketing Communications to define product market communication objectives, a go-to-market strategy and launch plan (product positioning, key benefits, target customers).
• Maintain a comprehensive product offering presentation.
• Contribute to BUs synergies, manufacturing and sales.
• Provide sales team training and presentations.
• Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers.
• Provide market-specific price guidelines to colleagues where appropriate in Sales and Marketing.
• Actively manage product lifecycle – concept, launch, production and end of life.
• Co-define with sales strategic customers list and associated level of service.
• Monitor BU and competitors share in addressed market.
• Collaborates with Human Resources to plan and execute appropriate staffing decisions to create/sustain sales competitiveness including talent road mapping, succession planning and to enhance people development programs.
• Collaborates with shared services to improve organizational efficiencies and expansion of capabilities.
• Collaborates with all functions to support appropriate diligence and integration associated with inorganic activities including partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience of managing P&L for a product line is vital.
• In-depth experience with defense and aerospace industry as a product line manager in a senior level role.
• Degree Level with preference toward technical preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and curiosity of the markets which we operate within
• Project management skills required.
• People management skills and experience required.
• Experience and good knowledge of key customers in key market segments in country/region.
• Demonstrated skills working across functional structures and teaming with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Engineering to achieve business objectives.
• Effective communicator and business leader, makes commitment and delivers on promises.
• Strategic thinking, Self-sufficient team player who enjoys a challenge.
• Very organized and internally driven.
• Highly experienced in client interactions and solution presentations.

Impact and Scope:
• Across the A&D product line and the Connectors business unit.
• Global, responsible for all PLM personnel.
• Plans and directs all aspects of assigned activities within the PLM organization.
• Ensures all PLM, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.
• Contributes to establishment of functional KPIs and goal attainment.
• Collaborates across multiple sites and geographies. May have reporting relationships in multiple sites.
Key Internal and External Relationships:
• Peers in SLT, Engineering, Finance, HR, Quality and Operations. Together with relevant key customers/suppliers/distributors.
• The ability to engage, challenge and work effectively with stakeholders from all functions and divisions.
• A strong customer advocate; aggressively market the impact of customer satisfaction on company performance through a team of empowered and motivated team members.
• Be able to lead or contribute to cross-functional teams.
• Interface with customers conduct customer visits as necessary.
