Founded in 2009, the company is rapidly growing both organically and inorganically (M&A) to address the DOD/IC Spectrum Dominance capabilities gaps and the ramping use of LEO constellation in civil and defense applications.

The market has strong tailwinds driven by ongoing conflicts, new Peer/Near Peer threats, the emergence signal of interest above 18GHz, and the proliferation of unmanned systems.

Role: Sales and Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly capable and proactive individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and growth mindset, who can increase sales, wins on programs of record, and develop new opportunities for our clients in the defense and space market.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience and track record of success in sales to top Defense prime contractors, newer “non-traditional” primes, and RF payload providers.

The Sales and Business Development Manager will report directly to the company’s Chief Growth Officer will have the opportunity for career advancement into a leadership position as the business grows.

The compensation for this position is competitive and will range according to candidates’ skills, qualifications, level of experience and other market factors. Compensation will include a base salary, performance bonus (commission) and equity incentive plan. Responsibilities:

• Proactively set up and drive customer meetings, both onsite and virtually, to introduce and demonstrate a wide range of Software Define Radio capabilities
• Manage customer relationships by providing timely follow-ups, expert advice, and tailored recommendations on SDR solution to meet specific technical and business requirements.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring customers understand the value and application of our products in their projects.
• Manage the complexities of large business opportunities by building consensus with all prospect stakeholders
• Develop strategic account relationships with key contacts.
• Collaborate across the sales, marketing and application support groups to pursuit large, strategic accounts and distributed opportunities with multiple site influencers
• Support marketing strategy and communications to ensure alignment with sales activities
• Perform essential sales activities, including preparing quotes, forecasting, and tracking sales metrics, in Salesforce.com, to meet and exceed sales targets.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, preferably RF or electrical engineering. MBA or Masters’ degree an advantage, but not required.
• 5+ years of experience in technical sales
• Technical and business curiosity in targeting, approaching, and aligning with potential prospects
• Experienced in sales techniques including qualifying prospects, identifying key decision influencers, surfacing and countering objections, negotiation, closing, and related commercial contract activities
• Experience and existing relationships (executive, engineering and procurement) within targeted defense prime contracts, non-traditional primes and focused sub-primes in the defined territory
• Demonstrated ability to meet growth objectives
• Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and be ultra-responsive to customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective telephone presence and professional email correspondence
• Ability to travel to meet with customers and partners, represent company at conferences and industry tradeshows (up to 50%).
