FIELD SALES SPECIALIST

FUNCTION
Reporting to the Director of National Sales, this individual will provide technical support to the field sales organization for this Company focusing on fast and sustained growth. The Company has completed four acquisitions since 2019. The Company performs R&D, design, manufacturing, and marketing of radio frequency (RF) and Microwave (MW) components and sub-assemblies for advanced radar, signal intelligence and communications equipment for both military and commercial customers.
The Company is building a diverse technology foundation in conjunction with an agile vertical manufacturing base in the RF/MW space through identifying and integrating acquisitions that are complimentary to its current offerings in component and subsystem design and fabrication. The Company has a strong bench of technical talent, a broad product offering and operations primarily in the domestic market.
The selected candidate will have responsibility for educating and supporting the domestic representative and direct sales network, participating in quoting, trade shows and direct customer visits. This individual will also have considerable interface with engineering and production as a key link between field sales and in-house operations.
QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the RF/MW space, for both custom engineered and standard products. The ideal candidate will be technically confident, possess strong interpersonal skills and understand the critical interaction between internal operations and external sales functions. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to work with customers, salesman and other technical professional in specifying and promoting applications oriented products to address specific customer applications.
A team player, this individual will be a quick learner, be open to new ideas and be able to quickly reconcile customer needs to technical product solutions.
Superior oral and written communication skills are essential, particularly since this individual will play an important role in business development and customer interaction, in conjunction with the field sales organization.
EDUCATION
A Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, is necessary.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This position will report to the Company’s National Sales Manager.
LOCATION
This position is based in the Washington DC area. Domestic travel is required,
