FUNCTION
Reporting to the General Manager, this individual will assume overall responsibility for the sales, account management and applications engineering operations for this Company focusing on fast and sustained growth. The Company has completed four acquisitions since 2019. The Company performs research & development, design, manufacturing, and sales of radio frequency (RF) and Microwave (MW) components and sub-assemblies for advanced radar, EW, signal intelligence and communications equipment for Military and Aerospace customers.
The Company is building a diverse technology foundation in conjunction with an agile vertical manufacturing base in the RF/MW space through identifying and integrating acquisitions that are complimentary to its current offerings in component and subsystem design and fabrication. The Company has a strong bench of technical talent, a broad product range and operations primarily in the domestic market.
The selected candidate will have responsibility for managing and enhancing the domestic representative network and building a complimentary direct sales organization including coordinating and overseeing all quoting, account management and trade show participation. This individual will also have considerable interface with engineering in the specification, design, and implementation of the Company’s present and future products.
QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant sales experience in the RF/MW space within DOD and aerospace for both tailored engineering solutions and standard products. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales executive with considerable expertise in sales to defense contractors. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical professionals to address customer specific applications in addition to promoting the Company’s standard products and technical design and manufacturing capabilities. He/she will have been involved in the growth of a smaller company or in the building of an entrepreneurial group within a larger organization.
The ideal candidate will hold a current security clearance, preferably at Top Secret level. A shirt-sleeved manager and team player, this individual will possess superior organizational and leadership skills and a demonstrable record of achievement in growing and managing sales operations.
Superior oral and written communication skills are essential since this individual is expected to play the lead role in business development and other sales activities critical to the Company's short-term growth.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. A Master's Degree in Business Administration is highly preferred.

The Company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, incentive bonus and equity participation.
LOCATION
This position is based in the Washington DC area. U.S. travel is required.
